Ultra-Low Freezer Storage (–70°C & –80°C)
Kryosphere has the ultra-low solution to safeguard your priceless samples
Certain biopharmaceutical materials, cell therapies, cell reagents are required to be stored at –70°C or below. At Kryosphere, we provide ultra-low freezer environments qualified to either –70°C or –80°C.
Typical Uses of –70°C & –80°C Ultra-Low Freezer Storage
Our Approach
Upright Ultra-Low Freezers:
We operate multiple suites of upright freezers in our biorepository areas, each set to either –70°C or –80°C. Every unit undergoes temperature-mapping validation before being released for use.
Facility Infrastructure:
From the moment your shipment arrives, all material movement into ultra-low storage takes place in dedicated processing areas. Transfer bins filled with dry ice shuttle samples from receiving to freezers with minimal exposure to room temperature.

Available Ultra-Low Storage Options & Capacity
Flexibility
When demand for –70°C spikes, we can re-validate select freezers from –80°C to –70°C in a matter of days—ensuring you never run short of the exact ultra-low environment you require.
Sample Capacity by Rack Configuration
Each freezer’s rack system can be customized to fit your box dimensions and vial arrangements. Depending on rack height and box style, a single ultra-low freezer can hold anywhere from a few dozen to several hundred cryoboxes.
Onboarding Consultation
During project kickoff, our cold-chain specialists work closely with you to understand your box count, vial count, box sizes. We then design a rack layout and assign the precise number of freezers needed to meet your volume while maximizing space efficiency.
